Merseyside hero Ian Prowse is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, frontman of Amsterdam and previously the frontman of indie cult band Pele. Raised on protest songs and inspired by the song writing craftsmanship of Paul Weller, Mike Scott, Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello, Ian’s 30-year song writing career and 100% committed live shows have gathered him a reputation as the ‘Scouse Springsteen’ amongst his devoted fans. After crossing paths in Newcastle Upon Tyne, six young musicians immediately began to share tunes, eventually forming the powerhouse of progressive instrumental folk that is Pons Aelius. Martin has been making music and touring the world for over two decades, exploring roots, blues and slide guitar. He has released nine albums to date, all recorded on home soil and across the Atlantic in Texas and Nashville. His music has featured on TV shows like 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Banshee'. Maddie Morris is a bold and socially conscious folk artist who uses traditional music to explore contemporary issues. Winner of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, they have been described by Jim Moray as “leading the next generation of socially conscious songwriters.” Their work explores personal narratives and political storytelling, blending English folk traditions with their lived experience as a trans, autistic person. Joe and Will Sartin, the talented brothers behind folk duo Patakas, are rapidly making a name for themselves on the festival scene, having only started their musical collaboration just a couple of years ago. Combining Will’s dexterous mandolin, bouzouki and fiddle playing with Joe’s expressive guitar and sublime vocals, the duo creates a captivating and heartfelt acoustic sound, rooted in the tradition of music-making that runs through the core of their family. Isabel is a singer-songwriter whose sound weaves together threads from UK folk traditions and the American folk revival, with a subtle modern edge. Anna Renae is a pop/folk singer-songwriter, weaving musical stories inspired by life’s complexities. Her debut album ‘Skin’ was released in March 2020, followed by her EP ‘Speaking Her Mind’ in October 2021, which both received glowing reviews and attained radio play around the world, including many plays on BBC Introducing.
